Jarre In China' was filmed on October 10th 2004, at the Grand Gate (Wu Men) of Beijing, the heart of the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square; a unique world exclusive event, the first ever concert filmed in THX Hi-Definition! Jarre merged his music with the artistry of Chinese musicians to create a revolutionary performance in 5.1 surround sound. The concert cost 5 million euros and boasted the most advanced techniques in lighting and sound design.

Jean Michel Jarre has been a pioneer of electronic music for over 20 years - selling 60 million albums worldwide and performing record-breaking concerts around the world. In 1981 Jarre became a cultural ambassador between China and France by performing concerts in both Beijing and Shanghai; he was the first western musician to perform in the newly reformed republic, bringing China a futuristic experience that, through TV broadcast, reached an audience of over 500 million. Jarre again brought his experience to a modernised China with the inaugural performance for the French Culture Year.

This is a Japanese all code DVD, playable on all machines featuring the band including Issei Noro on guitar; Minoru Mukaiya: keys, both bass players: Tetsuo Sakurai, and Yoshihiro Naruse, and of course Akira Jimbo on drums playing live in the studio. The live music segment of the DVD, also included are discussions with the band. However you can watch the music in it's entirety.
